This pandemic has hit a lot of people hard. In the first few months of the lock down, my brain turned to mush. Words refused to form. My writing ground to a halt. I cleaned the house, got rid of things I didn’t need, finally got a starter to survive, and learned to make sourdough bread.
Literary creativity shifted to my old standby, sculpture, and Shrouded was born. This installation sculpture is dedicated to those lost to Covid. Pouring my heart into this piece helped me prosses some of what’s been happening around the world.
This week, the US surpassed 500,000 deaths. I’m still struggling, but am finally getting back to regular writing.
Keep doing what you’re doing, Amy. Activity keeps us all sane. Good books help too. 🙂 Hoping for better days ahead …

How are you handling this Pandemic?
I miss my family and friends.
I miss hugs. Saturday morning breakfasts at a restaurant with close friends. Shopping without rushing out of a store as soon as I’ve bought essentials.
I haven’t done as much writing as I’d like, though I will say I’ve been spending a lot more time trying to promote my work online than I used to.
Historic times, horrible times. I wish we had a RESET button. Stay safe, Andrew!
Thank you. You too!
